  • Sculpture Stand:

One of the primary tools used in most workshops is a sculpture easel. A good easel allows you to raise or lower your work and in most instances to work with your back erect and your work at eye level. There are many options for this, We suggest the three following choices, budget, good and deluxe. For most purposes, the "Budget" is perfectly fine. The others are more of an investment.

  1. Budget - Mabef Sculpture Stand. Italian wooden stand. Available via Amazon, price at posting $130 or the Italian Cappelletto from Artist's Supply Source for $160
  2. Good - The steel Jack Richeson Adjustable Economy Steel Heavy Duty Floor Sculpture available from Amazon for $201 and from Artists Supply Source for $178.
  3. Deluxe - Miroballi Sculpture Stands, these are the gold standard, usually must be hand made to order, shipped from Italy, prices vary from $560-$1680. The can handle sculpture weight loads from 220-660 lbs. The Mirobelli is pictured in the photo to the left.
  • Sculpture Table
  1. Nothing beats a metal table. There are many options but this Gridmann Work height table on Amazon checks a lot of boxes. Gridmann Steel Folding Work Table
  2. For a simple blo-molded cheap solution for workspace, it is hard to beat this Cosco bare-bones 6ft folding table.
  3. For a rolling wood top table, this Seville Shop table is very reasonable and useful with two steel drawers and good weight-bearing capacity ( up to 500lbs). It can also double as a sculpture stand since it is on wheels and can be turned.
